ESTANCIAS DE MOVILIDAD EN EL EXTRANJERO JOSÉ CASTILLEJO PARA JÓVENES DOCTORES 2022

The “José Castillejo” scholarship has been granted to one of our researchers, Laura Lozano de Sosa, who will be in charge of evaluating the joint action of organic amendments and livestock management on the inducing effect of decomposition of soil organic matter in Mediterranean crops within the framework of the Biocover project. The project aims to offer novel and precise information on the pathways of carbon transformation and storage in agricultural soils as a result of the introduction of two very common and closely related practices in agroecosystems, compost fertilization and livestock integration, but whose relationship and synergy are rarely studied. The experiment will be developed for 5 months at La Universitè de Bourgogne Franche-Comté (Dijon, France) through the Biogeosciences Research Unit and the GISMO analytical platform (http://gismo-solutions.fr/en/home/) with soil from a study area located on the ‘Cortijo el Puerto’ farm (https://www.cortijoelpuerto.com) managed within the principles of organic and biodynamic agriculture.
